orders through a custom quote process.
How to Order
Requesting a Quote: Use our online form to tell us which items your school needs.
What is Included: Your proposal details product costs, crating/packing fees, and estimated shipping costs. In states where educational institutions are not sales tax exempt, we will list sales tax estimates (FYI only, for budgeting purposes).
Price Guarantees: Merchandise prices are locked in for 90 days from your quote date. Due to volatile freight rates, shipping quotes are guaranteed for 30 days. We are always happy to issue a refreshed quote if needed.
Payment & Sales Tax Terms
Invoicing: We invoice your school on the day your order ships.
Terms: Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.
Accepted Methods: We prefer payment via Check, but we also accept ACH transfers with prior authorization.
Out-of-State Sales Tax: The State of Minnesota does not require us to charge or collect sales tax on out-of-state sales. Therefore, any sales tax listed on our quote is an estimate for your information (FYI) only.
Tax Documentation
Sales Tax Certificate: If your institution is sales tax exempt, we require a copy of your home state's exemption form or certificate for our records.
Non-Exempt Institutions: If your school is in a state where you are not exempt, you are solely responsible for self-reporting and paying any required sales or use taxes directly to your proper local tax agencies.
Shipping & Delivery
School Delivery Schedules: We ship to colleges, universities, and schools with scheduled delivery only to ensure your facility is ready to receive the freight.
Delivery Requirements: Ground freight delivery windows are estimates. Actual arrival depends on carrier schedules, weather, and holidays.
Spare Parts: We maintain a stock of spare parts (including Donkey and Stak feet, and afterthought casters for Slopes). These items will ship via UPS.
Liftgate Delivery: If your school facility does not have a loading dock or a forklift, answer Yes to the liftgate question on
the estimate form above so we quote the right truck.
Warranty & Support
We build our equipment to last and stand behind our craftsmanship.
3-Year Warranty: Covers products with moving parts, including easels and taborets.
5-Year Warranty: Covers drawing tables and art donkeys.
Lifetime Support: Our equipment is built for the long haul — we have easels still in daily use after 20+ years! If you ever experience an issue, please reach out so we can help you fix it.
FAQ for School Purchasing Departments
Do you accept Purchase Orders (POs)? Yes. We frequently work with institutional purchasing departments and accept official school purchase orders to initiate production, with payment terms of Net 30.
Can we pay by ACH, wire transfer, or credit card? We prefer checks, but we do accept ACH payments if you obtain prior authorization from us before sending the transfer. We do not accept credit cards.
Why isn't sales tax fully charged on our out-of-state invoice? Because we operate out of Minnesota, MN law does not require us to collect sales tax for shipments going out of state. If your institution is not tax-exempt in your home state, your school is legally responsible for paying the required tax to your local agency.
What should we know about the freight delivery? Because art equipment is heavy and bulky, it ships via freight truck. Delivery must be scheduled with your school's receiving department. If your campus lacks a loading dock or forklift, you must request a liftgate truck during the quoting stage.
