All of our products are made in western Minnesota, and we have neither vendors nor warehouses—everything is shipped directly from us. Almost everything we make* is either too large or too heavy to be shipped as anything but freight. We work with a shipping consolidator to keep costs as low as possible; our proposals include both the crating and shipping fees for your individual order. We recognize that shipping charges can be daunting, particularly when ordering only a few items. But our equipment is designed to last, and divided by hours of dependable service, we think it offers great value. If you or an alumnus are passing through the neighborhood, we’re also happy to help customers load up orders themselves and skip shipping!
To provide the most accurate quote, please assist us by letting us know if your receiving facility has either a loading dock or forklift.
*A small number of Slope Easels can be shipped, unassembled, via UPS; if your institution has a UPS account, it can be billed directly.
The Barnesville Stak Easel™ was designed for multi-use studios. Weighing only 18 pounds, it’s easy for even small students to stack to reconfigure your space
What's the big deal with two posts?
Many easels support work on only a single post. They may have three posts, but the locking unit, the principal point of support, is on the center post. Both the Barnesville Slope and Stak Easels™ are true two-post easels, providing stable support at two points
The Stak Easel™ uses a pair of clips to secure stretchers to the easel. Adjusting individually means they readily accommodate asymmetrical canvases.
The tensioning knob on the support ledge of the Slope Easel is centered, but it tightens the interior steel bar against both outside posts for maximum stability. We think this simple design choice results in the sturdiest, most dependable easels available—our two-post easels can reliably support the largest and heaviest artwork.
